The rumor persists to this day. It is not a soundboard tape, but an audience tape. It is a very good one, however. It's close up, and there is no bad audience noise. The sound is sharp and crystal clear. If it's to be faulted at all, it would be that it leaves off the final four Dylan songs of the show to make room for The Band tunes. This Japanese issue is in a slick, mini LP type gatefold cardboard sleeve with the beautiful Globe photo of Dylan on stage with his blonde telecaster as the front cover. The back cover is a black and white photo taken by Fred McDarrah at the Philadelphia Spectrum on January 6, 1974. © 2002 CD Pinkerton - bobsboots.com |
