source: Seville, Spain 10-17-91 Tracks: Dylan: All Along The Watchtower Boots Of Spanish Leather Across The Borderline (Ry Cooder/John Hiatt) Dylan & Richards: Shake Rattle And Roll (Calhoun) Richards: I'm Going Down (Freddie King) Somethin' Else (Cochran/Sheeley) Connection (Jagger/Richards) Can't Turn You Loose (Redding) Review: Let this one pass unless you are a completeist, or a cross-collector of Keith Richards. The sound quality is not up to par. The playing is rather loose and sometimes sloppy, and the vocals are uninspired. The total playing time of only 36 minutes (with but 15 minutes allotted to Dylan) doesn't help. The glimmer here is Across The Borderline (Identified on the package as Answer Me My Love). However, It's a dim glow that doesn't warrant the price of the CD. What's worse is that Dylan does perform Answer Me at the show... but it's not included here! The nice photo of Bob and Keith, and the rich looking aesthetics hide a shoddy, botched effort. © 2001 Craig Pinkerton Bobsboots.com |
