Review:
As with most CDs of the '78
tour, this one is not the very best of qualities. However, it is
a great performance with powerful and fresh versions of some rare
material. There are not many '78 shows on CD,
so any fan of the '78 tour material will find this
a pleasure.

Musings from Craig:
I am from the old school of vinyl LPs. While I
now love and enjoy the convenience and sound quality of the CD,
at times I still have to reflect back to the days when a CD
was only a banking term; and compare the qualities of the recordings of
that day to this. I have purchased vinyl with tracks that could barely
be identified as Dylan because of the poor quality. Still, I enjoyed the
thought of a new recording that I had never heard. These days, it seems
that if a recording is not taken directly from the soundboard, and then
digitally processed to pin drop clarity perfection; it is scoffed. This
is one of those CDs. The sound quality is not perfect.
If I could have purchased this piece in this quality on vinyl in 1978,
however, I would have been in 7th Heaven. I'm not
sure why I'm writing this. If you are, drop me an e-mail.
