source: Largo, MD January 15, 1974 Tracks: Disc one Most Likely You Go Your Way Lay Lady Lay Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues I Don't Believe You It Ain't Me Babe Ballad Of A Thin Man Stage Fright (The Band) Night They Drove Ol' Dixie Down (The Band) King Harvest (The Band) This Wheel's On Fire (The Band) I Shall Be Released (The Band) Up On Cripple Creek (The Band) All Along The Watchtower Ballad Of Hollis Brown Knockin' On Heaven's Door Disc two The Times Don't Think Twice It's Alright Wedding Song Just Like A Woman It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding) Rag Mama Rag (The Band) Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever (The Band) The Shape I'm In (The Band) The Weight (The Band) Review: A fair, mono audience recording of the first of a two night stay at the Capital. There are 10 Band tracks included, but at the expense of the final four Dylan tunes Forever Young, Something There Is About You, Like A Rolling Stone, and Most Likely You Go Your Way (reprise). The aesthetics and title were inspired by Down In The Flood. That official release is a compilation of four different shows, but the clarity is unmatched. Along with it, and the handful of soundboard recordings floating around, there is more than enough representation of the Jan-Feb 1974 tour for the average fan. © 2002 Craig Pinkerton Bobsboots.com |
