In 2001, an unknown Japanese manufacturer re-released several classic boot CDs using the old TMQ logos. For this reason, they are referred to as "TMOQ Japan". This 2 CD set was released as two separate, near identical packages. Both are cardboard slip cases with a black and white front sticker, and a gold foil TMQ sticker on the back. One contains a TMQ logo printed CD, the other, a TMQ-2 logo printed CD. This release is a direct copy of the 1994 release RT Revue. However, TMOQ Japan decided to take the title of the 1995 Yellow Cat release of the same show. This is a great representation of the '76 material. The mono soundboard recording is not up to today's standards, but it is right up there among the best tapes of the tour. The performance is also as good as you will find. The set includes 14 of the 16 Dylan tunes. While giving a larger overview of the entire show, the set leaves off 'Isis' and 'You're A Big Girl Now'. © 2001 CD Pinkerton - bobsboots.com |
