Review:
I've only listened to this CD once so far, but  I would value the sound quality alone at a level 6.  The overall rating is higher due to the performance and CD packaging. The sound is a little muffled, and you can hear several whoops and hollers within the crowd. However, the overall sound quality isn't too bad. There are a few nice acoustic pieces on this release, some great rarities, and the show itself is simply wonderful. It's the first night of a three night residency at the Roseland. Dylan had the day before to rest, and he used it to sit in with the Grateful Dead at Madison Square Garden. It must have really pumped him up! His voice at the Roseland is powerful, and his phrasing is incredible. The package aesthetics are nice, and the venue information is all correct as it appears on the back cover.
