There are some great songs here that should be in the collection of all fans of outtake material. The highlight is New Danville Girl. It's an earlier version of Brownsville Girl with altered lyrics. The silk screen CD is a joke. It would have fared just as well being blank. The CD is housed inside a thick black paper sleeve that slides into the cover. The cover is a cardboard jacket that makes the release seem like a miniature vinyl LP. The CD itself is basically all black to help further the illusion. The 'miniature LP' is a nice enough idea, however the cover photo is not all that flattering. It was taken from it's benefactor release as well. There is no information on the back save for the track listing. |
