This title was used for many different albums, all based on  original GWW Sings the John Birch Society Blues

The earliest version of a known TMOQ John Birch came out in the first part of 1971 (gwa13-C), although there were obvious ties to the original pieces.  The first TMQ cover utilized the same rubber-stamp to be found on gwa13-Ab. Some 2nd versions also had a small round or square original pig logo sticker on the front cover.  The covers were white, orange, or other various pastel colors.  There was an insert included in the album with a lot of small photos from 1963 and 1965, and the original pig logo. The album labels were either blank white, or the pig logo. The matrix number is BD 509 A/B.© 1999 Craig Pinkerton Bobsboots.com
Later in 1971, as the new TMOQ Label was beginning to come into its own; the familiar "TMOQ style" rubber-stamp title began appearing on the covers.  The Label was using whatever supplies and tools that became available to it, and this accounts for the wide array of packages.  There are near endless combinations of colors of covers, colors of inserts, stamps, stickers, labels, and colors of vinyl.  As many of these packages were released simultaneously, it would be an impossible task to actually chronicle the order in which various packages were issued.

In 1973 TMOQ created a cartoon cover with a die-cut center hole, and issued 18 or so of their titles as collector's items in this numbered volumes series.  The albums had a unique additional reference number that generally matched the 'Issue volume number' for that LP.

With the John Birch album, the volume number was 3.  The reference number was S-103.  The original matrix number was still stamped; and, like its predecessor, this cartoon series album came out in various packages including black or colored vinyl, and new full printed, blank, or original labels.

As the new TMOQ regime took over, it slowly started introducing changes to the albums and their packaging, while simultaneously selling off their remaining original products.  This makes for an even wider variety of available packages.  A true TMOQ-2 issue of this LP can be identified primarily from the matrix number.  The original BD-509 A/B has been scratched out, and the new matrix number 1803 appears.  The following changes and/or additions probably occurred more or less in the order they are listed here.  Definitely the first thing to happen was the matrix change.  After this came black and new colors of vinyl ... a new smoking pig logo on the insert ... a new smoking pig logo label and, finally a new 'live in 1974' insert.
