Information:
This title presented the Basement Tapes to Europe, as Waters of Oblivion did to USA. It is the same quality as that earlier title, but there are a couple of differences. It doesn't include "Too much of nothing", and uses take 1 instead of take 2 of  "Tears of rage". This is the take that would eventually find its way to the official CBS LP release. The LP title would later be used for a series of Italian releases on the Joker Label, but there is no connection what-so-ever.

In 1972, Hobo Records released their own version of this LP. The track listing and quality is the same, but it has been repressed from unique plates. The cover is white with a large eye printed in green or grey. The labels are black on silver full printed HOBO. The matrix is machine stamped.

This 1971 Dutch piece was originally released by Peace Records in the cover shown above (gwa 8Aa). The cover is very thin with the title in large black stencil type letters that cover the entire front. The label is full printed with "Peace Records" at the top, and "The Basement Singers Sing Bob Dylan". It was also issued with an "Empire" label instead of "Peace". The rest of the package remained the same. A second issue was released with the same LP in a completely different cover. (gwa 8Ab) The cover is a laminated light grey. The title is smaller, and fits in the bottom quarter of the front. Still in stencil letters, the title was first in silver, then reissued in black print. The back cover is full printed with the track listing.

Rover records (Same folks as Peace) released the gatefold cartoon version ( gwa 8Ac ) in 1972. Taking inspiration from the R.Crumb album cover for Big Brother's Cheap Thrills album, this incredible cover featured a different, beautifully drawn cartoon ala Crumb for each song title on the album. It was printed in black and red on a white cover. The vinyl was pressed from the same master plates as the original. The labels are black on red cartoon Rover Records labels.
