The Isle of Wight shoe was at Woodside Bay,
Nr. Ryde, Isle of Wight, England. It marked the first full Dylan concert in over two years.

All tracks backed by The Band except:
Tracks 4 - 7 Side One - Dylan solo

There was a PA tape made of the concert, but it is not known to exist outside of the CBS vault master.

Tracks 1,13,15, & 16 are stereo PA recordings that were released in 1970 on 'Self Portrait'.

Information:

In the latter half of the 80's, the German GWW Label put out some slick looking pieces with custom labels
and nice looking jackets. This 1986 release has a deluxe full color cover with the concert poster printed on back.  Custom made labels... and an incredible looking clear - multicolored splatter vinyl.  This is the first release of the full Isle of Wight concert. GWW also released this title on black vinyl  in a slick white on green cover .
The LP was also simultaneously released on the Archive label as Island Man
In 1990, the Italian Label  'World' issued this concert on CD. It was mastered from tape sources, but the packaging was copied from this LP.
