Information:
This 1969 release from the USA Label Har-Kub is among the first
bootlegs ever made in the Rock era. It remains one of the best as far as
song selection and quality as well. It also, because of the many releases,
re-releases, re-prints, and re-presses, is one of the more confusing and
difficult to track pieces. This is the original issue. There are variables
in both the cover and label.
The most common releases center around two different labels. A blue
and silver 'Har-kub' label, and a silver,
blue, or green 'No name' label printed
in black. The cover is a blank white jacket with a rubber stamp title.
What varies is the rubber stamp. The more common one is pictured above.
It's block lettering surrounded by a rectangular box. The stamp came in
a variety of colors. There is also a large purple stamp and a small black
stamp with no box. There is also blank white and blank black laminated
covers for this release.
As the Label used whatever resources that became available to
them without thought or desire for continuity, there is no 'rule of thumb'
for the combination of label and cover.
