Review:
An excellent, very upfront and powerful recording. Sounds like an audience, but could easily be a soundboard. A remarkable performance by Bob, who sings like a man possessed. He is fully in control of the circus. The show is amazing throughout. Bob's voice is startlingly lucid, and the band is simply inspired. The Jaw dropping renditions of Hard Rain and Not Dark Yet are beautifully narrated. This guitar drenched version of Positively 4th Street makes it one of the most exciting tracks, but the obvious highlight is the bonus track. Sam Cooke's A Change Is Gonna Come is taken from the soundboard recording of a TV Special, and is the only known Dylan performance of the song. Ultimately it is THE song to have in your collection. The crown jewel among the highlights of the 2004 tour, I could go as far as to say that this is probably one of the best live CDs I've ever heard.
