It's so clean and dynamic that it's hard to tell that it isn't a pristine soundboard like the slightly earlier Dec 8th recording from Irving Plaza. (as found on the same label's 'White Dove') Includes an eight page booklet with full color photos and info. The aesthetics are wonderful. It's a great show from a fantastic residency as well, with many of the songs from Time Out Of Mind starting to find their own feet. Sheryl Crow guests on a couple of the encores, and there's a healthy dose of unique bonus tracks, all taken from the same run of El Rey shows. The sound quality on them is just as astonishing as the full concert. Highly recommended. © 2002 Mike McGarr edited by CD Pinkerton@bobsboots |
