Review:
The entire Beacon residency wove the mythical tales of legend into the stark reality of the Big Apple. There were celebrities and dignitaries, space and time travelers, generations of saints and sinners, artists, ragamuffins, millionaires and paupers all thrown together in the madness to witness one of the events of a lifetime that has become almost commonplace for Bob Dylan. Yes, the audiences were a bit loud and disrespectful, but they could easily be tuned out with the dreams flowing from the stage. Rattle Snake has chosen to release the fourth, and arguably best night, with highlights from the other shows. The 29th includes perhaps the most magical Shelter From The Storm ever sung, along with so many other highlights. This incredible 3 CD set was released in one of the old school double thick jewel cases. It includes beautiful graphics and photos, a review of the overall experience inside the six page photo info booklet, all proper pertinent set information, and a nice, warm aesthetic appeal. This set resembles one of those labor of love releases of years past, and is a most fitting tribute to the 2005 tour that will please even the most hardened bobcat.
