Review:   by: John Martin
This single release includes two different venues. The introduction and first three tracks were recorded at JFK Stadium, Philadelphia on the 13th of July 1985... The Live Aid concert. The final ten tracks were recorded at “The Forum”, Inglewood, Los Angeles on the 13th of February 1974 on the  “Before the flood tour”. The Live Aid performance isn't great, but it's interesting as a historical item (especially as Bob gives the organizers a squeaky bum moment as he tells them to give two million dollars to the American farmers.) The last ten tracks are with the Band. Dylan leads them through an explosive set of his finest moments. The biggest problem with this bootleg is that it is sold on a premise that you’re going to get Bob, Keith, and Ron for the whole CD, but in fact they only appear on the first four tracks. Having said that once you know the content of the bootleg, and that’s what this site is for, then the live aid stuff is interesting and the Dylan/Band stuff is well worth a listen. © 2008 John Martin / bobsboots.com
