Sept. 7, 2002 was an incredible evening!
The Lee McCormack Birthday bash at the Red Fox Lounge in South Point, Ohio.
The night got under way with Galaxy records presenting awards to publicist Gina Berryman,
Director Peter Lippman, Rick Lewis, Brian Roberts, Lee, and Tiffany Brooks on the release of the video.
The record company than led a moving minute of silence tribute for the victims and families of the 9-11 tragedy.
The crowd was then treated to a big screen showing of the incredible bio of Nashville based Director Peter Lippman.
Immediately following was the much anticipated premier screening of Lee's first video "Open Road".
The video was an overwhelming hit with it's very first audience at this standing room only event.
Then Lee and the band performed for over two hours for the grateful room.
Covergirl model, turned actress, turned singer Tiffany Brooks made a special guest appearance.
There were also several special VIP guests that chose to remain anonymous audience members.
The evening was recorded and filmed for electronic promotion by Lippmann.
The sound was provided by the talented Paul Rice.
There were lots of other fun filled events that truly made this one of the most
memorable evenings that the Lee McCormack fan could have hoped for.
A night that we'll never forget!

On Sept. first, Lee and the band performed  at STA-TAN Pool for a charity event to aid  See the photos
the family of Shane Jones. Shane is a 13-year old from Ironton with Leukemia. During the show,
Shane was in Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio awaiting a SECONDbone marrow transplant.
Shane is an awesome kid and his parents have been through more than any parent should ever have to endure.
Family and friends wish to thank Galaxy Records, Lee, Brian, Matt, JoeE, Nevada, Craig, Tiffany Brooks, and
Bud & the Lee McCormack team for volunteering their time and talent for such a great cause!!!!!

On Aug. 18,  Lee and the band performed for a private, all ages pool party
for the LEE McCORMACK fan club in Ironton, Ohio. The weather didn't want
to cooperate, so the party was moved inside to the stage of the Sta-Tan concert
hall. It was a great time for those members that braved the elements. The band played
to the requests of the crowd, and there were lots of surprises that you'll never forgive
yourself for missing. If you're not yet a Fan Club member, be sure to sign up now,
so that you'll be invited to the next fan appreciation party!!! Sign up as a member

Throughout the end of July, and beginning of August, Lee was all over
the USA shooting the video for "Open Road"

July 27  Annual Holy Family All American Festival Ashland KY

This show was a benefit for the homeless, and money was raised for their aid.
Opening the show was a lively performance by Rail City, and  Samantha Dawn.

July 20   Private Party. A wonderful private performance for the Doug/Nikki reception
at the Ironton KofC won over more Lee McCormack fans. As a first for a Lee show,
each member of Open Road sang lead vocals on various songs.

July 4,  Rutland 4th of July Celebration - Rutland OH
Lee and the band agree that the fans in Rutland are among the best anywhere.
The show promoters treated the entire crew like family.
Special Thanks to the Fire Dept. and to Fox's Pizza for a private, after hour meal!
The good folks of Rutland came out in full force to enjoy a unique, and powerful four show performance.
 

July 3, Paul Porter Park in Coal Grove OH
The Park was packed tonight, as a record crowd got to witness the incredible Lee McCormack experience.
A breath-taking fireworks display was choreographed to Lee's final song.
Thanks to the opening act Tripchord for getting the crowd in a party mood.

On June 28, Lee and Open Road played the annual Iron Master Days Festival in Ironton, OH.
Promoters agreed that Lee had brought in the biggest audience in the history of the event.
Indeed, the outdoor event was standing room only! Lee's Custom Fender Leather Coat was
provided by Chris's Guitar Shop. It wound up in the arms of one lucky audience member.

On May 31, Lee delivered a powerhouse performance to kick off the Ashland, KY.
Main Street concert series. Special guests included Steve Wilkos from the Jerry Springer show  pictures
 

On May 26, Lee performed outside as the main attraction at the annual Saint Joe Charity Fair
in Ironton, Ohio. The weather was gorgeous, and the whole town turned out to hear a stellar concert. pictures
 

May found Lee at private performance concerts.
 

On April 19 Lee gave a power-house performance as he opened for Tim Rushlow  from the band  LITTLE TEXAS.

March 8th found Lee in Huntington, WV opening Gary Allan.
 

In early March, Lee and guitarist Nevada Hart performed live on
The Radio Ranch with Rod & Rocky WDDG 93.7 FM radio, Huntington, WV
 

Throughout the month of February Lee performed private concerts for fraternals such as Elks and Shrinners
 

On February 9, Lee Played a standing room only show at the Wild Dawg Saloon in Huntington, WV. At about 10:00 PM the house erupted when a surprise guest appearance by Kenny Chesney sent screams and cheers throughout the crowd. Kenny brought along a film crew from CMT. He sat in on Lee's equipment and Rocked the house for nearly two hours. The CMT video appeared in the Kenny Chesney special that aired in May. The surprises kept coming all night as in walked Sara Evans and Carolyn Dawn Johnson. Everyone performed together on this one, truly unforgettable night. January, 21 found Lee ON AIR WITH DESTIN ROGERS (KCYN RADIO) MOAB, UTAH
 

In January, Lee added the album session Drummer Dr. C, and original guitarist Nevada Hart
alongside band leader 'Towboat Joe' Brown to create  the current band lineup. He then packed the premier
night spot Wild Dawg Saloon In Huntington, West Virginia
